Bertrand Duchaufour

Bertrand Duchaufour
"The most important part of my work is to always have this enthusiasm for creating something new. Always trying to innovate each time I am creating a fragrance."
Bertrand Duchaufour is one of the most recognized and respected perfumers, whose legendary career began in the mid 80’s in Grasse, where he trained at Lautier Florasynth Group. In the quarter-century since, Duchaufour has become a true rock star of the niche perfume world, where he does not compromise on quality or vision. This commitment has led to an expansive repertoire, full of triumphs and bestsellers, from Comme des Garcons Avignon and Kyoto, to Amouage’s Jubilation XXV, to a 10-year journey as L’Artisan’s “Perfumer in Residence”, an unprecedented honor that has born countless fruits including Nuit de Tubereuse, Vanille Absoluement, and Fleur de Liane, amongst many others. Duchaufour seems unrestrained by any one style or trademark, opting instead to embrace new challenges, which often result in new successes. A true master of modern perfume.
